This racing game, isn’t too complex, doens’t have any in-app purchases, and is fun to play. When I downloaded this game, I just wanted to drive fast, and have fun. This game delivers.

Amazing game, lot of fun for car game beginners BUT… …It is quite unstable lately under HighSierra (with powerful i7 & 1GB Radeon GPU on MacBook Pro 2011 and 27inch Apple Display) There is some problem… not with performance of my MacBook… not with cooling or overheating… some other bug. Waiting for repair :-) Thank you!

The game itself is fun, you can go the the iOS App Store and see more detail on that, Im focusing on how well it was ported from iOS to Mac OS X. The controls are good, but some customizability or alternative control schemes would be nice, at the very least include a WASD option for those that hate the arrow keys. Framerate is smooth on the two Macs I tested it on (Mac Pro 1,1 w/4870 & a base model MacBook Air 11), but its because its not scaling up much. Im almost positive its not running at my native resolution, its just running in a scaled up window. If it is running at native, then the main menu UI needs to be reworked so it doesnt look so blocky & low-res. This isnt an iPhone, Gameloft, its a Mac Pro with a 4870. Let me use it! On the same note, add anti-aliasing options. These are computers of varying quality, price and power. One size does not fit all. Pinball HD is a good example, that game is a direct iOS to Mac OS X port, but anti-aliasing options were added in a Mac OS X-only menu. Thats a reasonable compromise. Considering how crispy this game looks on my iPhone 4, it kind of ruins it to see all those jagged lines on a much more powerful device. All in all if this is what Gameloft plans to bring to the Mac platform in terms of porting quality, then Im not interested in future titles. Its not like I was expecting much, I was expecting a scaled up mobile game. What I got was an almost 1 to 1 port of the iPad version, with no computer or OS X specific changes whatsoever. All I really wanted was the "scaled up" part. I am happy to re-review if these things change in a future update, though.

This game could have been much much better for such a powerful laptop like a macbook pro. Instead it looks like a game that was simply ported from an Ipad. No new levels, cars...exactly the same. The graphics could have been much better and realistic. I got the impression that this was going to be a great racing title, which Gameloft is capable of producing, and I was expecting much more. Please update if possible to include better graphics, levels, cars. Moreover the ability to change controls, import music, would also be a good addition. It would be much appreciated.

Overall I like the game a lot! - the gameplay is fast paced - the locations are diverse - the car selection is great Things I do not like - the menus are ugly especially for carear mode - some of the levels look a bit dark - you cant change the controls enough - some of the missions require you do bonus things such as drift for a certain amount of time but there is drift counter that stays on the screet - drifting feels akward - and the most irritating thing sometimes the car goes out of control and you get stuck on the side. I found out if you break really hard you can get out of this otherwise ALL the cars will pass Despite these issues I still gave it 5 stars because of the cars and tracks and because it runs smoothly on my 4 year old Macbook with GMA graphics!

Asphalt6 is pretty much exactly the same as every other asphalt game ever made but if you bought this you should of known that. Crisp graphics and fun fast paced gameplay is what you can expect from this game. one complaint though, there are absolutely no backround graphics which takes away from some of the things i love in racing games. Add better graphics and this game will be a five.

I played this game and even though it isnt much more realistic than the iphone version, the graphics are improved and it runs smoothly and is a blast!

I am a great Need For Speed fan and I have played almost all of its versions ever produced. After NFS there is no other racing game that I could ever like. Asphault 6 is the first racing game that I like maybe because unlike NFS, its totally unrealistic and pretty easy. You know sometimes you just wanna play something different. A good buy for those who like unrealistic, flashy racing games of the old arcades. Not recommended for those who like realistic simulation kind of racing games.

I like this game very much but I find it to be very out of place after I crash and respawn. Usually, the camera is out of place, the camera is facing the ground under the car and its like that for about 2 mins. If this can be fixed for me, then I will give this game 5 stars.

Pretty safe bet for $7....easy to jump into if you just want to kill five or ten minutes really quick, but Im going to bet you spend longer than that in one sitting!!! Addictive gameplay, lots of power-ups, some crash em bash em collisions......whats not to like??? lol Definitely give it two thumbs up.

This is a great game. Its fun, it easy to play (with the arrow keys and space bar) and its addictive. The game play it fairly easy, which makes it kinda addictive because you are always unlocking new cars and levels etc. but it also ruins it a bit because you fly through the levels too quick. Overall it is a fun game.

i like it, simply because it is really adrenaline rush. when your done playing it, you feel like drifting with a real car, i tried it once and i got a ticket for it. lol. seriously, it is worth the download and for a cheap price. my only concern is that they should provide an update for it just another stage maybe (ikr, too much to ask) lol

I was really into turismo games but then this showed up on my mac and i tried it. FORGET TURISMO! i played asphalt 3 for ds, asphalt 4 and 5 for ipad and it was AMAZING graphics are perfect gameplay is awesome LOVE IT!

An awesoem game and worth the pay. Amazing graphics but a level of difficulty is low, overall a pretty easy game to beat in one day. Wish the game was longer and had more elves, and harder to complete. If the cost was any higher then the game wouldnt be worth it since i completed to game in two days.

This is now my favorite racing game.

A worthy successor to Sega Rally……and best fun Ive had with a racing game in years. Emphasis is on the game rather than the atomic accurate physics engines you find elsewhere… Best of all it runs on the MacBooks with the crappy Intel graphics! ….Well done, Gameloft for putting the extra effort in. 2 quibbles that if resolved will see it up to 5* - Auto accelerate, so I can concentrate on my drifting technique!! - Hide the mouse cursor once the race starts. Something tells me, Apple just created an entire gaming eco system round the Mac. With the quality of iPhone games coming to the Mac for this kind of price, you know what system to buy if you want to game and not drop $50 each time. Gameloft, you have my business!!!!

very addictive game. I have played majority of the racing games including GRID. but compared to the price, this is far best with easy navigation and controls. Love it.
